The past couple months have been quite difficult managing a business, as well as a family in the midst of a world health crisis, but we are excited to continue moving forward.

These responsibilities are keeping me from preforming my job to the best of my ability, because of this as well as the COVID-19 Pandemic, Professional Cannabis Consulting is suspending all operations until September 2020.

OCS Announces: A Limited Supply Of Legal Edibles Coming To Ontario Next Week

The Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) announced at a news conference on Friday that a limited number of new products will be shipped to licensed retailers on Monday.

Cannabis edibles, extracts and topics were legally approved in October but there was a gap in the items that eventually hit the shelves due to a 60-day approval process imposed by Health Canada. Items will now be made available for purchase from the online retail website of the province on January 16.

AGCO updates application process for cannabis retail licensing

On December 12, 2019, the Government of Ontario announced its move towards an open market for private cannabis retail in Ontario and related amendments to Ontario Regulation 468/18 made under the Cannabis Licence Act, 2018. As a result, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) will modify the application process for cannabis retail licensing.

These changes will be introduced in the stages, which align with the timelines established by the government.The AGCO is committed to processing applications as quickly as possible with the objective of making a legal supply of cannabis more broadly available across Ontario.

As regulator, the AGCO’s priorities continue to be ensuring that only eligible applicants are licensed and that licensed operators act with honesty, integrity, and in the public interest, following all laws, regulations and standards.
